Stuart Cameron

Principal

Stuart has worked in the ICT sector and in the media for more than twenty years.  He commenced his career in Operations at Channel Nine Sydney before moving to a major computer company in the late '80's as Operations Manager.

During the early 90’s Stuart consulted to media, advertising and communication companies on the role of new technology and, with the advent of web-based technologies, played a key role in the rollout of applied Internet technologies to corporate clients.

In 1995 Stuart founded interactive communication specialist Adline, where he helped pioneer the use of Internet and other interactive technologies for the media and advertising industries.  He has been instrumental in many of the technical developments within the online sector and, having worked on more than one hundred and fifty online marketing campaigns for companies like Compaq, EMI and Twentieth Century Fox, is considered a veteran of the industry.  In 1999 he was a co-founder of and Chief Technology Officer at rushTV, a joint venture with Kerry Stokes’ i7 which developed the most extensive convergent media platform yet seen in Australia and paved the way for the use of the web as a platform for TV programs such as Big Brother.

Concurrent with his career as an entrepreneur and businessman, Stuart has been an active radio broadcaster since 1992.   Stuart hosted talk radio on Sydney's 2UE and 2GB as well as researching, writing, producing and performing more than 1000 episodes of Superhighway, a daily radio program dealing with the Internet and new technology for the lay audience. For five years Stuart was the ICT analyst for ABC News Radio, as well as researching and co-presenting NetNews, a weekly in-depth analysis of the ICT industry.

Stuart holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Macquarie University Graduate School of Management.  He is a full member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) as well as the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
